Day 5-Kamloops

The day was spent trying to hide away from the 42 degree heat for the boys.

The boys have been staying at a University of BC campus known as Thomson Rivers in Kamloops which once again has fantastic facilities.

The boys had access to indoor and outdoor running track, fully equpped gym and a leisure pool which had sauna, jacuzzi, diving boards and slides. Mr O'Brien showed his diving skills off as he has attended 2 summers of diving school when he lived in the US.

We managed to complete 2 training sessions either side of the afternoon heat and there has been excellent technical and physical developments shown by the boys.

The boys had easy access to Nandos, Pizza Hut etc to grab their evening meals which proved very popular.

Today we will travel to Williams Lake where  the boys will be hosted for 3 nights with the games being played tomorrow. We are stopping off by the lake on route so that the boys can have a swim and play bit of beach rugby.

  1. Thanks for putting on those pictures of Lake Louise. I was there about 25 years ago and still remember it as one of the most stunning places I've ever been. Looks like you are all having a great time and did well in the first two matches, so well done for that. A couple of points - Is Tom Cope's ankle ok? I was worried for him after he stood on a cricket ball during the warm-up for our last game of the season. really hoping he's ok to play ruigby. The other thing - just a thought but no need to post any more pics of Mr King. No point in spoiling an otherwise excellent blog!

    Regards, Sutty.
